Administrative Assistant (PDF)

Location: Bon Air Baptist Church - Buford Road Campus

Part-Time: 21 hours per week

Immediate Supervisor: Administrative Manager

Functional Alignment: Bon Air Baptist Church - Buford Road Campus Pastor

This assistant is responsible for executing administrative tasks related to the ministries and teams supported and led by the Buford Road Campus Pastor and the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities: General Administration

  • Assist Facilities Manager with maintenance tracking of church vehicles
    • Keep the schedule of church vehicle use
    • Provide approved drivers with keys when driving for ministry sponsored functions
  • Process approved facility requests by entering information into the resource calendar and ensure it is kept accurate
  • Process all reimbursement requests and accounts payable for the Facilities Manager
  • Process all reimbursement requests and accounts payable for the Food Service Director
  • Process and provide all documentation for church vehicle registrations, decals, and insurance
  • Any other requested duties and responsibilities as assigned

Responsibilities: Buford Road Campus Pastor

  • Prepare and send out letters/cards for memorial contributions in a timely manner
  • Prepare and publish all materials for the Serve Like Jesus Teams
  • Assist team leaders assigned to the Buford Road Campus Pastor
  • Assist Buford Road Campus Pastor in keeping columbarium map/diagram up-to-date

Responsibilities Shared by All Administrative Assistants

  • Keep the hospital list updated daily and record updates on the information line when needed
  • Assist receptionist with receiving and routing incoming calls
  • Assist office visitors as needed
  • Assist other administrative assistants as needed in case of absence or heavy workload

Required Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent required – college training a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and particularly Word and Excel
  • 3-5 years of office experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
