Rusty and his wife, Darie came to The Village in August 2013. Rusty graduated BTSR in 2011 and currently serves as Chief Technology Officer for CBFYMN. He has been serving students as both laity and now clergy for almost 20 years in South Carolina and Virginia. Rusty believes that Family Ministry is not simply the latest fad in youth ministry, but a fundamental paradigm shift that must occurs to make disciples. Rusty enjoys following his Clemson Tigers year round, being outside and tinkering with technology.
Norman serves as the Senior Associate Pastor at the Bon Air Baptist Church. His responsibilities include the Care Ministries of the church. Norman is a graduate of Mercer University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. He pastored churches in North Carolina and Virginia before going overseas to serve as a missionary in Israel and Greece. He then directed the orientation of missionaries at the Missionary Learning Center in Richmond for 13 years. Norman is married and his wife, Kathryn, works with the Chesterfield County School Board where she directs Homebound Education. They have three children.
Jim has a Bachelor of Music from Samford University, a Master of Church Music from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Musical Arts from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. His master's thesis was titled, "Hunger and Hope: The Body of Christ in a Starving World" and was performed for the first SBC convocation on world hunger. His dissertation, "A Korean Requiem" (in honor of those who have died while in separation from family during the division of the Korean peninsula), was performed in Seoul, Korea on the 50th anniversary of the Korean War.
Jim and his wife, Diane, served in South Korea for 21 years representing Southern Baptists at the Korea Baptist Church Development Board in Seoul. He presently serves as a music consultant for Global Resource Services (GRS), an NGO that works largely in North Korea. Jim has visited North Korea several times and has assisted groups, including Casting Crowns and the Annie Moses Band, in performing in North Korea.
David M. Bailey is a speaker, music director, and producer that has spent the past decade using music as a tool in the reconciliation process. He is an active worship leader and presenter at national and international conferences through the ministry of Making a Melody. His specialty is in leading multi-cultural worship, equipping Christian communities with the tools needed to connect diverse people and cultures. David is the author of Arrabon: Learning Reconciliation through Community and Worship Music and a contributing author for Worship and Misssion for the Global Church: An Enthnodoxology Handbook.
David and his wife Joy met while they both attended Virginia Commonwealth University. They enjoy eating Indian food, exploring new cities, and entertaining friends (old and new) in their home.

Alberto was born in Costa Rica and accepted Christ as Lord and Savior at age 16. He studied at the Bible Institute in Buenos Aires, Argentina for four years. In 2005 he came to the United States. Since 2006 he serves God at Bon Air Baptist. He is married to Travis and they have one daughter.
I am a former pastry chef who had worked for places like The Grand Floridian Beach Resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando; Caesars palace in Lake Tahoe, Nevada; Vista International Hotel in Pittsburgh, PA. I have a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. During my career I have worked in numerous venues which include: Post Gazette Pavilion at Star Lake Amphitheatre, Burgettstown, PA – Security Team; Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania – Coordinator of Campus Programs; the former Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh – Assistant Operations Manger, CenturyTel Center in Bossier City, LA; Louisiana – Security and Patron Services Manager; Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, VA – Assistant / Director of Operations and most recently at Richmond International Raceway, Richmond, VA – Event Operations and Security Supervisor. I am married to my wife Jamie and we have one son (Aaden) and two cats.
Randy came to Bon Air Baptist Church in 2001 to serve as an audio technician for The Gathering worship service. The service grew and Randy is now the Director of Media at Bon Air Baptist. Randy worked for WDBJ-TV 18 years and has 25 years of experience in broadcasting. He owns a company specializing in designing and installing audio, video and lighting systems. Randy produces multi-media elements for our contemporary worship services and oversees the audio and video systems at Bon Air Baptist Church. Randy and his wife Maria, have 3 wonderful children.
Rebecca has been Richmond native for over 30 years. She has a Masters Degree in Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University, and taught history for four years in Chesterfield County Public Schools. She played Division I soccer in college and has a heart for recreation. She lives in Bon Air with her husband and five boys.

Peggy joined the Bon Air Baptist staff in 1994 as the Director of Weekday Ministries. She now serves in that role and that of Preschool Ministries Coordinator. These preschool activities at Bon Air Baptist include Sunday school, iKIDS, parent-child dedications, and special events for our preschool families. Peggy is a graduate of George Mason University. She and her family have been members of Bon Air Baptist for over 20 years.
Steve grew up in an Army family and traveled the world as a result. Steve and his wife, Christina came to Bon Air Baptist in 2003 and joined the staff in 2010. Steve graduated from J. Sargeant Reynolds with an A.S. in Engineering. Steve and Christina are parents to two young children. Steve is passionate about youth, foster care, and adoption.
Emily joined the staff in the spring of 2013. She coordinates the ministry for our children @ the village. She is passionate about working with children and enjoys building relationships with the families she serves. She is married to Josh and they have four girls.
In mid-career, John began to take steps to prepare himself to follow wherever God’s Spirit would lead him. He didn’t realize that one day he’d be asked to consider the role of campus pastor for BABC and accepted this position in 2006. John brings a wealth of experience from the business world. When we began looking for a campus pastor, we looked to other multi-site churches for models. John fit the profile wonderfully. John recently received a Master's degree from George Fox Evangelical Seminary. John and Lee Ann are the proud parents of two.
Erica came to Bon Air Baptist 10 years ago. She is originally from Ohio. Erica graduated from Liberty University and worked there for two years after graduation. After moving to Richmond she worked at the International Mission Board for 2 years. Erica and her husband Daniel have four children. Erica loves coffee, being outside, and being a mom
This lover of flip flops is a singer, songwriter and worship leader who studied music and voice at Radford University. She lives in Glen Allen VA with her husband Scott and crazy springer-spaniel Diego Sanchez. Her passion for music and for an intimate relationship with her Creator were inspired by her parents and the simple life of having been raised in Appalachia. Rachel works by day as program manager for Financial Stability and Family Strengthening at Goodwill and serves the community with her gifts and talents in music by working alongside Logan Jones Music and the Arrabon Project. She is passionate about connecting and equipping those around her to walk out their unique calling along this journey we call life.
Deborah joined the staff of Bon Air Baptist Church in August 2007. A native of Virginia, Deborah earned a B.A. from Averett University and a M.Ed. from the University of Louisville. Currently she is working on a master’s degree in ministry leadership at Rockbridge Seminary. Through the years she has served in churches and denominational life as a pastor’s wife, a professor at Baylor University, a missionary, a teacher, and a minister to children. Deborah is married to Dr. John Upton, Jr., Executive Director of the Baptist General Association of Virginia and the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. The Uptons enjoy being with their children and especially their grandchildren.

Les is a Maryland native. He graduated from Morgan State University with a degree in Political Science and worked for years in banking and information technology as a consultant. Finally relenting to the call of ministry he received a Master of Divinity degree from the School of Theology at Virginia Union University in 2010 and In August 2011 became Pastor of the Robious Hall campus of Bon Air Baptist Church. He supports the Multi-Site vision of BABC by growing the congregation in attendance and spiritual maturity. Les and his wife Donna have four adult children and enjoy outdoor recreation and being with each other.
